FactionsinSolasta: Crown of the Magisteris a representation ofdifferent groups of individuals that has its own beliefs, interests, allies, and enemies. Different factions usually, will give the playervariousquests, information regarding the lore, unique items, weapons, as well as different outcomes.During your adventures, you will meet people from various factions. Good relations with a faction can bring many advantages. You improve your relations with a faction by doing jobs for them or promoting their interests.This page covers a list of all the factions in Solasta: Crown of the Magister.

How do I increase the Reputation?

In Solasta: Crown of the Magister, Factions are actually represented as unique vendors/merchants. Throughout your journey, you will come across interactable environments where your characters will try to decipher, discover secrets, and uncover historical points of interest in order to obtain a faction-related item known asDocuments. You will acquire some documents early in the game, but it will only be relevant or the feature of turning in these items to a faction becomes available after you acquire theImperial Crown.

You can identify which faction is intersted in the document by checking the item in your inventory and providing it to them will increase your reputation, apart from providing documents, you can also partake in completing certainSecondary Questsfrom Caer Cyflen's mission boardand by speaking to certain contacts of the faction (for example, when you speak toMaddy Greenislewho is the contact for theTower of Knowledge, if you tell her that "you just miss her" it can slighlty increase your reputation with that faction.

Factions such as thePrincipality of Masgarthis a story-related faction so progressing throughout the game will automatically boost your reputation with them.Increasing your reputation with a faction will unlock unique items in the faction's shop and provide you with discounts as well - to identify the requirements for the items sold by the faction to be available, hover over that item to see the required reputation status, and if you want to learn more about the factions in the game, you can open the journal and choose "Factions".

How to find the Factions?

There are six Factions that can be found in Solasta: Crown of the Magister, the Principality of Masgarthis the primary faction that is related to the main story of the game, as well as the Scavengers, so players won't be able to miss out on interacting with these two factions. While the other four, Antiquarians, Arcaneum, Circle of Danatar, and the Tower of Knowledgecan all be located in Caer Cyflen.

Each faction are represented by a contact NPC(for example, the Circle of Danatar's contact is Joriel Foxeye, while the Antiquarianswould be Halman Summer. To identify these contact NPCs, open the map while you are in Caer Cyflen and you'll see a faction icon above the portrait of the NPC.

  • Joriel Foxeye, contact of the Circle of Danatar: Sells unique Weapons, Armor, and Scrolls.
  • Heddlon Surespell, contact of the Arcaneum: Sells Primed Equipment used for crafting and Scrolls.
  • Halman Summer, contact of the Antiquarians: Sells magical Accessories, some Armorpieces, and a few Ingredientsfor crafting.
  • Maddy Greenisle, contact of the Tower of Knowledge: Sells Manualsor crafting recipes. Reading these will allow you to craft the related item.

Solasta Factions

Antiquarians

The Guild of Antiquarians grew up as an informal information-sharing networking within the Snow Alliance, composed of those explorers and scholars interpid enough to study the Marches.

Arcaneum

The Arcaneum is the magical arm of the New Empire, descended from an Old Empire Organization of the same name.

Circle of Danatar

The Circle grew up in the Principality of Masgarth as a school for adventures, out of a minor magic school from the Old Empire.

Principality of Masgarth

Located close to a strategic pass into the Badlands, the principality came under pressure from its neighbors.

Scavengers

The scavengers are a neutral organization based in the Principality of Masgarth. They travel the Marches and the Badlands, visiting locations that have been cleared by adventures and recovering any remaining loot.

Tower of Knowledge

The Tower of Knowledge is based in the kingdom of Gallivan. It began several centuries ago as a local effort to preserve and recover the lost knowledge of the Manacalon Empire.
